Biznet was founded 8 years ago. It has focused initially on providing Internet access for corporates and enterprises, mainly at central business districts in Jakarta. Meanwhile, Biznet offers a wide range of other networking services. Looking at several aspects, it seems that this company belongs to the bests in the business, even though it is likely run as a "Kusma" family-business ??, CMIIW.
As of Q3/2008 Biznet
- has completed their Jabodetabek rings (approx. 1,000 km); their initial plan was to deploy 500 km fiber rings
- connects 233 buildings in Java-Bali: 225 buildings in Jakarta, 1 building in Tangerang, 3 buildings in Bandung, 3 buildings in Surabaya (Intiland Tower, Bumi Mandiri, Graha Pacific) , 1 building in Bali
- operates 5 international PoPs: Singapore, Hongkong, Tokyo, London IX (LINX), Palo Alto IX (PAIX)
Additionally, they also offer intercity connections and publish network connectivity as displayed below. However, for me it is not completely clear, who owns the cable. It is unlikely that Biznet does. XL ?? ICON+ ?? Powertel ?? Regardless this issue, to offer services like Biznet does, it shall have access to the fiber core(s).
